Quality of hardware is great.
Cons: SO EXPENSIVE! It" s="" insane="" to="" think="" something="" that="" costs="" this="" much="" does="" not="" function="" like="" intended.
The Tt software is garbage. Does not function well with multiple windows profiles (It should have setup-as-service option).
The Tt hardware/software does not function well with other RGB hardware that is supposed to be supported.
Overall Review: Stay away from the Tt ecosystem for RGB. It really is one of the worst.
Pros: -Really nice looking.
-Sufficiently quiet.
Cons: -Software was designed by a C+ average high school coder.
-RGB sync with power supply frequently interrupted. Clicking on the fan controller button in software sometimes corrects.
-PC sleep mode makes fan RGB uncontrollable until reboot.
-Selling only 3-packs a money-grab against people with 480mm radiators.
Overall Review: The fans themselves seem fine, but the dream system I built deserves better software controlling these.
Pros: look great, awesome build quality, easy to install
Cons: the software to control them (tt RGB plus) is a joke.
-when loading a saved profile it will load, but all the settings inside of it are set back to default, so if you set a profile the way you like and decide to change something slight about it you have to start all over.
-no matter how many times i save over profile 3 it changes back to what i had first changed it to.
-theirs no description as to what exactly each light mode is, you have to test them all and figure out the difference, like theirs a mode called player, and as far as i know makes all the lights a steady light blue, and thats it.
-and my biggest complaint is that if you switch audio drivers(if going from analog speakers to a usb wireless headset for instance) the app will lose its mind and either crash or give an error until you switch back.
-it takes up one of my usb headers instead of the RGB header/fan header on my motherboard
-the temp setting does absolutely nothing, when loaded all the fans turn blue, and i thought they would turn red as they heat up, ran furmark to push the temps to 80+ degrees and still no change in the lights.
Overall Review: would not recommend, a freind asked me about them and i told him to steer clear of them.
i would not buy them again
and if their was something i could fix about them in would be the software.
Pros: Fans look great.
Cons: Had to uninstall software as it causes other programs to not work correctly. Can't get through to customer service. Hate to but so far it looks like I'll have to return them.
Pros: Bright... Really bright fans.
Color contrast, options, and variables are fantastic.
1600ish RPMs Thermaltake always delivers. I gave this 5 eggs because NewEgg values small business and doesn't sell product below a profitable margin. This is excellent for small business to be able to sell similar products, and even on their website.
Cons: Amazn doesn't care about anyone but Amazn and has no issues with dropping the sell price well below MSRP to a point where even Amazn pays to sell the product. Why? because they recoup the money on their cloud services which aren't great. This also puts small business out of business while Amazn lies and says they promote small business. No they don't. You may pay a little more on New egg for some products but it's fair and worth the price. If it isn't, I have never had an issue with New Eggs return policy and excellent customer service.
- When the computer goes to sleep you have to close the TT RGB Plus software and re-execute it to get it to work again.
Overall Review: I recommend this product
Pros: They are quiet. The mounting points are fitted with effective isolation pads. The cables are sleeved, making it easier to made the wiring tidy. They look good when you finally figure out the software. This controller is easily daisy-chained to a second controller, although I haven't gotten a second set yet, but I will. The wiring is rational, not a kludge.
Cons: Thermal Take could put the download in a more obvious place. I think their website is disorganized.
Overall Review: I recommend these fans and controller. I haven't checked to see if other manufacturers software would work or be more advantageous. I bought this from A**zon, which had a non-vague delivery date. Newegg's delivery is presented as 'yah, sometime inside two weeks maybe'. Otherwise I would have bought from Newegg.
Pros: Quiet, bright, and very well built!
Cons: None!
Overall Review: I would highly recommend these fans to ANYONE that is looking for great fans that are RGB and that will last for a LONG time to come.
Pros: -Simply stunning!
-Good airflow for my dual 360 push-pull set-up.
-Cables are long enough to get around in my Thermaltake View 71.
-Love the colors but at the moment I" m="" loving="" the="" blue="" accent="" that="" radiates="" throughout="" case.
-Nice quiet fans as well.
-Love the design! Even though there are similar design concepts like Aigo's ring/halo/aurora effect, I have been waiting for some time for Thermaltake to come out with an improved Riing concept. A mere weeks ago when i saw these my mind was made up!
Cons: This is merely suggestion to Thermaltakes R&D:
-Would like to see a 6-port/12-port controller instead of using a chain effect. You could eliminate the mass clutter of cables running throughout the case if you are not careful routing it. So plan it out!
Overall Review: For all the Thermaltake followers: This is it. I really like Thermaltake's fans and their Riing editions. While i do own several of Corsair's LL120s, the Riing Trio really stands out not only in good performance but looks as well. RGB fans in general sure came a long way and each time these aftermarket case fans wow us with their stunning looks and designs. For Thermaltake's Riing Trio, this is it.
I know there are plenty of people who cannot justify the price. Even i cannot but I have committed myself into investing 4 new sets of case fans to complete my Thermaltake View 71 build. I promise you wont be disappointed. But if the price is too much, there are others of similar specs and looks for even half the cost. For now, Thermaltake's Riing Trio is a winner in my book.
Thank you Thermaltake for this stunning new product!
